Chapter 1: The Struggles of Creation

Life has been anything but easy in recent months. I wish I could say everything has been smooth sailing, but let’s be real: sometimes, you need to endure a storm before you can appreciate the calm that follows.

Have you ever realized that you might be the source of most of your distress? Lately, I've found myself searching for issues that aren't really there. I've been scrutinizing my:

This has led to a cycle of self-sabotage that feels like a never-ending loop.

"Why can't I simply accept that there are no issues?"

"Why is it so hard to believe that nothing needs fixing?"

"And why is it so challenging to allow myself a moment of peace?"

The reality is, there are times when I just want to obliterate everything in sight. I tend to be my own toughest critic, and I suspect you might be, too. Like many, I am often impatient, which exacerbates my struggles.

Yet, as I sit in my backyard writing this, I've come to a realization: it's perfectly acceptable to appreciate a plateau. I find resting more difficult than striving for new heights. However, if you're aiming to summit the tallest mountain, you must grant yourself the grace to pause.

Take time to acclimate to your current altitude, adjust your breathing to this new level, and perhaps take a moment to reflect on the path you've traveled.

It’s been a journey spanning three years, but I refuse to abandon it. I won’t let everything go up in flames. Instead, I'm choosing to relish the view from where I stand.
