I have a profound appreciation for quotes, especially one that has resonated with me recently: “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” - Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865).
The more I ponder Lincoln's wisdom, the more impactful it becomes.

In recent years, despite feeling like I’ve taken a few steps back or sideways, I’ve been continuously sharpening my axe. Leaving a comfortable, stable job to embrace the uncertainty of a startup was a part of that process. Investing years into earning a master’s degree, despite accumulating student debt, was another way I honed my skills. Even though I haven’t yet authored a book, I remain focused on sharpening my abilities. Opting for a secure part-time job that doesn’t fully utilize my education and experience was a strategic choice to enable personal growth and pursue entrepreneurial dreams.

While I enjoy blogging and am still searching for my ideal niche, I am undoubtedly sharpening my axe. When you engage in activities you are passionate about, prioritize personal development, and follow your calling, you too are sharpening your axe. Although there have been moments when my goals felt unclear, I recognize that my experiences, learning, and willingness to take risks have propelled my growth, helping me dismantle limiting beliefs. I now view what once seemed impossible as attainable.

As I sharpen my axe each day, new ideas and enhanced skills emerge, bringing me closer to my objectives. Despite periods of feeling stagnant, I have continuously evolved and prepared, and now I am confidently taking steps toward my aspirations. Remember, never cease your growth, never believe it’s too late, and always trust in yourself. Ultimately, you must put your sharpened axe to use. Lincoln’s quote emphasizes preparation as crucial, but it is equally important to act on your goals without procrastination. This way, you will realize that the time spent sharpening is not wasted if you take action.
